Land Acknowledgement
The 2026 Western Canadian Undergraduate Chemistry Conference will be hosted at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Point Grey campus, which is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nation.
Throughout the conference, we will honour and uphold the traditions of their peoples, treating the land and the people inhabiting it with respect and kindness.
We invite delegates to reflect on their positionality as junior scholars in Western Canada, and we hope to start discussion towards understanding Indigenous knowledge in the context of Chemistry.
